“Break out”
Positive Image Films and Beyond Measure Productions is casting the roles for the five main characters in the film “BREAK OUT”. There are also some secondary roles that need to be filled, and over a hundred extra roles that we are casting for. We want to fill the primary roles first. These are the descriptions of the Principle characters. You will need to email me for an audition time and place. You will need a head shot and a resume.
If you are a first time actor and you don’t have a head shot or a resume, you can still audition for a role.
We are also looking for dancers, singers and hip hop artist to perform in the film. We want original artist with original music who may want to promote themselves in the film. We are also looking for teens who want to learn the movie making process. We will have internships for writing, editing and shooting film. Learn the whole movie making process from beginning to end.
The story takes place in the City of Boston. It is a story of triumph and tragedy. It’s about a positive African American family going through the life in the inner city. The story will make you laugh, cry, but most of all it will make you feel good about growing up and living in the City of Boston.
James: 39 year old black male, blue collar worker. Married with three children.
Dawn: 37 year old black female, who is eight months pregnant with her fourth child. She is an elementary school teacher, and mother of three.
James junior: 18 year old black male. J.J. is a high school basketball player and a great student. He is between 6’-6’.4”, with an athletic to muscular build. He has great basketball skills. I am looking for someone who is a basketball player before he is an actor. If he is a good basketball player who can act, then that is a plus. But I want to emphasize his basketball skills.
Kyana: 16 year old black female. Her dream is to be an R+b singer. This character has to possess a great voice. This character has several singing parts. One of the singing scenes is in a church chorus, so I am looking for someone that can really sing.
Darnell: 11 year old black male.This is the central character in the film. The movie revolves around him. I am looking for someone with superior acting skills who can really bring it home. This character will make or break the movie.
